Open Minds, Burning Hearts

“This Extraordinary Holy Year is itself a gift of grace,” Pope Francis said at the beginning of this Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Grace, mercy and closeness to God are at the heart of our journey in faith – not just this year but every year.

This is beautifully shown in the story of the Road to Emmaus – a central theme of the National Scripture Conference in November 2015.

To mark the 50th Anniversary of the Vatican II Document, Dei Verbum, the conference centred on Luke’s gospel with keynote speaker, Dr Ian Boxall, Associate Professor of New Testament at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC.

Download the PDFs below and follow in the footsteps of the disciples.

See how Christ reveals himself in the breaking of the bread.

Encounter grace and faith through art and scripture.
