International Biblical Webinar

On the occasion of the Biblical Year of the St. Pauls Family, St. Pauls Publishing Group and the Biblical Year Central Commission will hold three international webinars aimed to further explore the three main paths to the Greatness of the Scripture: the Hebrew, the Patristic and the Liturgical traditions. These are ancient approaches to examine and welcome the Scripture in all its power and abundance.

These three webinars will be held in three international locations: firstly in Jerusalem (on November 26th 2020), then in Rome (on April 24th 2021) and finally in Sao Paulo, Brazil (on November 26th 2021).

First speaker: rabbi David Rosen.

Topic: “Scripture reading according to Rabbinic tradition and its importance for Christendom”

The speaker. Internationally appraised rabbi, well known for his efforts in interreligious dialogue, president of the International Council of Christians and Jews (ICCJ). Currently he is the American Jewish Committee’s International Director of Interreligious Affairs, member of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s Commission for Dialogue with the Holy See and also Honorary Councilor of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s Commission for Interreligious Dialogue.

Second speaker: Father Francesco Voltaggio.

Topic: “Dt 6 text “scrutinized” thanks to the rabbinic sources and its consequences on New Testament interpretation”

The speaker. Dean of the Missionary Seminary Redemptoris Mater, Galilee, professor in Studium Theologicum Galilaeae. He obtained a doctorate in Biblical Sciences and Archeology at Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem with the thesis “The prayers of the Fathers and the Mothers of Israel in Hebrew tradition at the beginnings of Christendom. A study from the Genesis Targum”.
